TECHNOVIT 4000 - Low Shrinkage Mounting Resin

Technovit ^® 4000 is a quick-hardening, cold-curing 3-component plastic based on modified polyester in the form of powder and syrup I and syrup II.

Material properties
Technovit ^® 4000 is particularly characterized by low polymerisation shrinkage and optimal marginal sealing. The embedding of geometrically demanding samples is guaranteed by the good flow behavior of Technovit ^® 4000. Due to the very good adhesion to metal, Technovit ^® 4000 guarantees a very low-gap embedding. These properties are particularly important for all samples where good edge definition is important.

Application
The mixing ratio is 2:2:1 (powder:syrup I:sirup II), whereby syrups I and II are mixed together first and then the powder is stirred in. Technovit 4000 can be poured for approx. 4 minutes after mixing, the hardening time is approx. 8 minutes.
