Technovit Provil (Impression Putty) – Silicones
Thanks to the special material properties of Technovit Provil, it is possible to reproduce surfaces with an accuracy of deviations of less than 0.1 µm. As a result, the most precise structures of etched structural surfaces can be displayed, for example in metallography. Technovit Provil creates exact 3D replicas of the molded surfaces. The impression can be cast with suitable plastics (Technovit 3040) without loss of quality in order to obtain a second positive.
Thanks to its optimum resilience, Technovit Provil makes it possible to mold difficult areas and to measure them after the impression has been taken. The advantages are z. B. used to measure the degree of wear of cavities in tools and machine parts without having to use cost-intensive methods.
Incorrect dosing is ruled out by self-mixing cartridge systems. For the kneadable products, the associated spoons and products are color-coded so that there is no confusion.
. No prior knowledge of the application is required. Technovit Provil is often an advantage over other methods in hard-to-reach places or when working overhead. Technovit Provil can be easily detached from the specimen without leaving any residue.
Technovit Provil requires no investment in equipment or special application training. The favorable price of the consumables and the low time required for the application makes the decision for Technovit Provil easy!
Technovit Provil guarantees risk-free use in all areas that already harbor a high risk potential (e.g. corrosion assessment in tank systems, gas lines, etc.). The transport of Technovit Provil silicones also does not pose any risk, since the products are approved for all types of transport.
Technovit Provil hardens without increasing the temperature, which means that the surface quality of the objects is not negatively affected – important for a wide variety of scientific applications and impressions, especially in the restorative area.
options Technovit Provil silicones do not show any reactions with other agents. Impressions of almost any type of surface, regardless of the material of the object possible. The evaluations can be carried out using a light microscope or using the SEM (with a low acceleration voltage of max. 5 KV). Roughness measurements can also be taken on Technovit Provil impressions.
Technovit Provil Putty and Technovit Provil Putty soft (Impression Putty)

The components are presented with the respective dosing spoons 1:1. Mixing is done by hand until a homogeneous mass is obtained. For molding, the mass is modeled or pressed onto the desired surface. The silicone is completely hardened after 4.5 – 5 minutes at room temperature and can be removed or the object can be demoulded.
• the object has a correspondingly high surface hardness (metallic or mineral surfaces)
• a high final hardness of the impression is required.
A typical application is molding for measurement in mold and tool construction. A combination with the flowable Technovit Provil light is also possible, in that Technovit Provil Putty is used as a “stamp” or for rough impressions and Technovit Provil light CD2 is applied for fine flow and reproduction of the existing microstructures.
